INTRODUCTION PLAYER PROFILES COMMITTEE SPONSORS HISTORY

The mighty Long Preston Football Club was re-formed in the summer of 2008. When four young and ambitious Long Prestoners; James Newhouse, James Rodgers, Kris Attewell and Russell East initiated plans to form a new football club. A Long Preston football club. A dream that had been talked about for years but up until now no-one had been prepared to put in the hard work required to see it become a reality.

The dream was realised when Long Preston FC was inducted into the Craven District football league. With the help and investment of several local businesses including our title sponsor The maypole Inn, Magna Large Print books and Heathcote Antiques of Cross Hills, Long Preston were go!

Hard work and commitment by both the committee and the players earned them a 4th place finish in their division in their debut season, quite an achievement. For the start of the current season a few new faces arrived, the squad was strengthened and Long Preston set off in search of promotion and perhaps even some silverware...

A big thankyou to those who supported us in the beginning and to the many that continue to do so...
