8th May 2010 Despite Settle beating Ighton Leigh 7-4 Long Preston have finished the season runners up to Ighton Leigh Reserves. Equal on points at the end of a 26 game season goal difference has come into play. 2 goals the difference between Ighton Leigh and LPFC. Disappointing yes, but we can be very proud of our achievements this season. Up the black and yellows!
5th May 2010 LPFC notch up another 3 points to tie on points with Ighton Leigh Reserves. A hat-trick from Mick Snape sealed a 3-2 victory over Skipton AFC. Match report here
29th April 2010 Promoted!! Long Preston took on Silsden Whitestar Reserves and came away with a vital 4-3 victory, with promotion rivals Waddington slipping up against Skipton AFC Long Preston have safely taken 2nd place in the table and secured promotion. Whilst still a mathematical possibility, it is very unlikely that LPFC can take the league title.... Match report here
27th April 2010 Long Preston travelled to Ighton Leigh Reserves and were beaten 7-1, A bitterly disappointing result in a game that was always going to be hard to win. LPFC still top the table on goal difference but Ighton Leigh have a game in hand. League Table. The league title looks to have slipped away. With two games still to play LPFC must still give their all if they are to win promotion. Match report here
22nd April 2010 ***BREAKING NEWS*** Long Preston FC have been adjudged to have played an ineligible player in the home tie against Cowling FC reserves on 1st April 2010 (April fools day no less!). Young winger Jack Daley had not played the required number of games at that point and appeared as a second half substitute contravening rule 8N of the Craven & District Football League. The game (and 3 points) has been awarded to Cowling. Long Preston lost 6-1 at home to a much stronger Waddington side, unable to control the play Long Preston hemorrhaged goals in the second half. 3 wins from the 3 remaining games are realistically needed to take the title... 17th April 2010 Hat-Trick Harry Long Preston thrashed bottom of the table Barnoldswick Barons Reserves by 10 goals to 1. Harry Bland notching up a hat-trick. An easy game for LPFC before this weeks hard tests... Match report
10th April 2010 Despite leading 2 nil at half time LPFC crashed out of the league cup losing 3-2 to a strong Ighton Leigh Reserves. With the league far from decided the lads must now put everything they have into the remaining games. Full report
6th April 2010 Victory strengthens LPFCs TOP OF THE TABLE status Long Preston beat Horton FC 2 goals to 1. A strong first half from LPFC saw goals from Stanford and Snape. The home team netted in the second but LPFC were able to hang on for victory. Another 3 points on the board, LPFC are in a strong position for the title. Full report here
5th April 2010 The inaugural LPFC Golf challenge was a resounding sucess as 22 players competed in mixed conditions. Report and photos here

1st April 2010 LPFC triumphed 5-1 over Cowling FC Reserves in another evening game. Lets hope the lads can keep up this form as their punishing schedule continues. Match report here
29th March 2010 In a rain lashed home tie Long Preston beat Settle United Reserves 3-2, All the home goals coming in the first half. Stanford, Snape and Harry Bland on the scoresheet for the black and yellows. Full report here
27th March 2010 LPFC are victorious over Colne Juniors in the division 3 league cup. After a nervous first half from both teams, the second half was more productive despite Stanford missing an early penalty. Mounsey netted first for Long Preston before Colne equalised. Stanford made up for his missed spot kick with two goals, the first of which was an excellently taken volley from the edge of the 18 yard box. Full report here

20th March 2010 In a game they were never expected to win Long Preston crashed to a 6-0 defeat, outplayed by an opposition from a much higher division. Long Preston must now keep their heads up and concentrate on the division 3 league and cup. Full report here
11th March 2010 This Saturdays game has been POSTPONED. There will be no fixture this weekend. Next game is 20th March against Gargrave AFC in the Morrison Cup.
6th March 2010 Long Preston broke from the script today when they suffered only their second league defeat this season going down 4 goals to 2 against Earby Town Reserves. Full report now online here.
